State Of Minds Themes

At State of Minds headquarters, we are constantly thinking of how we keep bringing users back to the site as well as attract new users. We have decided to come up with weekly themes on our site. Example, this week we are updating the site with content about Women to represent Women's Month. We will do this for a week or two then change to another theme. Other sample themes could be featuring the hyphy movement in the West coast, or upcoming underground artist in the East Coast, or b-boy/b-girl week, etc. Let us know what you think. State of Minds campaign

The "Hip-Hop Don't Stop." campaign design features a collage of Hip-Hop artists, entertainers and Hip-Hop icons.

Welcome

Peace. Welcome to the official blog of State of Minds. Beyond simple updates and fixes to the State of Minds hip-hop website, the blog will function as a means to detail all SOM-related news, feature additions and much more.

Note to our users:

Since this is one of our first blog postings, what more of a better time to explain why we created State of Minds, the first Hip-Hop community driven website on the internet. Our goal is to use our experience in the Silicon Valley (dot)com world to provide the urban community with a valid resource for hip-hop on the internet.

State of Minds is here to bring all the elements of Hip-Hop in one logical place. We are here to bring all Hip-Hop sites and networks globally together. Not merge them together, but make it easier for you to find what your looking for in terms of Hip-Hop on the internet. Our goal is to become the A to Z of Hip-Hop and the biggest Hip-Hop database on the internet ever.

State of Minds will consists of entertainment and culture news, music, fashion, videos and other information and resources within the subculture of Hip-Hop. We will keep you informed on the latest and greatest but provide you with the "truth" and nothing that's media-related. Our information are gathered from people who are involved in the culture and the Hip-Hop industry only.

State of Minds will also be a place for the Hip-Hop community to express their ideas and creativity. If some of you visited our site before, it was fully based on the question "What is your definition of Hip-Hop?". We accepted this definition in the form of postcards, photos, text and even music. The responses were overwhelming and we will bring that segment back shortly. We also have many other future segments that we will be providing on our site, and as long as the Hip-Hop community continues to grow and provides us feedback, then we will keep moving forward.

Hip-Hop has become a global culture. We do not want to be the educators of the culture. We want the Hip-Hop community to educate each other. Each one, teach one. I myself have my opinion on what Hip-Hop is, but I also learn from the Hip-Hop community everyday. Please check www.stateofminds.com regulary for updates. Make it as your homepage. Use the website and tell us what you want or give us feedback and suggestions. The better feedback we get, the better we can grow.

Thanks for your support.

Hip-Hop Don't Stop.
